| Vi tillbringade fyra fantastiska dagar i Hong Kong och bodde på underbara Landmark Mandarin Oriental. Rummet var stort med en härlig inglasad rund badavdelning. Pesonalen är oerhört vänlig utan att vara påträngande, inte minst de sympatiska doormen. Spa-avdelningen var mycket fin. Hotellet är väl beläget med gångavstånd till shopping, Star Ferry till Kowloon och Soho. |

| My previous stay was at another 5 star hotel in Canada, called the Royal York. The hotel Landmark Mandarin was by far more luxurious and filled with Amenities than the other hotel. I can say my expectations were far exceeded and this hotel deserves another star. The Landmark was at attached to a very posh mall that only had designer stores. Across the street was the night district of Lan Kwai Fong. I spent most of my nights at the many bars in this location. |

| My impression is that the landmark is firstly a shopping mall and they built a hotel on top of it. The hotel is small and it seems as if they don't fully know how to run a hotel. They got all the big things right such as decorations, amenities and everything in the checklist to become a 5-star hotel, but there were many subtle details that were annoying.
For example, the door to the bathroom would always slam because of the hinges and there was no padding between the glass door and the marble wall so it made a huge sound unless I carefully closed the door manually.
The audio/video system was very impressive and extremely easy to use. This was one of the highlights of the room, but the sound seemed to have too much bass. As a result, the voices in the DVD that I brought with me were way too low. It sounded like everybody was trying to be really macho and talk really deep. I called the technical staff, but they were unable to fix it. They told me that I had a bad DVD, but I've played that DVD many times and it never had that problem before. I was not so much upset at the sound problem as I was that they tried to blame me for the problem.
The showers in the spa were very hard to figure out how to operate. I had to call the attendant for help turning on my shower. Although beautiful, the design of the handles is not very intuitive.
I asked for late checkout and they could not accommodate me. Most hotels will usually let me stay at least an hour later by simply re-adjusting the cleaning schedule. This hotel is the first that wasn't able to let me check out a single minute later. |

| The staff at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental was outstanding. Their reputation for impeccable service is well deserved. The cuisine in the Amber Restaurant and in the MO Bar was excellent but expensive. The location in Central Hong Kong is very convenient - within easy walking distance of good shopping and street markets, covered walkways to the Ferry terminals and attached to the Landmark Shopping Center. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. |

| The newest Mandarin in HK is ideally located in the heart of Central. The service is very professional, friendly, and attentive... what you'd expect from a Mandarin hotel. The hotel also has a wonderful multi-level spa/workout area that guests can use. Rooms are quite nice as well. My only gripe? The lobby is rather small and unimpressive for a hotel of this star class, but that isn't a big deal for me. |
